Well ladies and gentlemen..here we go again!
A new beginning...feels like every 2 minutes we are welcoming a new manager through the doors of the john smiths stadium for their short stay...flight bag as opposed to a suitcase needed
It was a sigh of relief for most of us town fans that mark robins finally flew the white flag in true french style and ran for the hills...well ashton
And left mark lillis to pick up the pieces!
And what a job he, s done!
Results have been decent...but more importantly..the passion and drive has returned to the squad..with self belief and endeavour spreading to the fans with great atmospheres at home to charlton and our last game away to watford...that wer a blinder..with the 606 massive singing from start to finish
Also and more importantly a change of formation has definitely made a difference with the orrible 3 5 2 formation finally kicked into touch
a pointlessness formation in my book with the sole objective of keeping possession, and slmost playing the game like a game of chess...fancy triangles in our own half...and doing nothing to excite the crowd and get em going
LIllis has gone with a flat back 4 with a diamond shape/4 2 in front which seem to change about as the game is ongoing
at times jacob butterfield has looked like he is playing centre forward and have been impressed with his input since joining us from boro
harry bunn...strong...gets the ball and runs..turns defenders inside out and scores goals...well done mark you saw it!..why didn't bobins?
sean scannell...a different player now he can play as an out an out winger...reguvinated!
At first when adam clayton was going to boro I was concerned?
Not any more...1.5m plus butterfield was sound business...he puts a shift in and can do pretty much everything clayts could..and has fitted in instantly
coady another cracking midfielder who is gonna go on to great things in his career...soooo cheap too
so norwood clayts out...coady Butterfield in...our midfield is more mobile and stonger now
which leads to our new defender mark hudson!
he looks like a good old head who will lead and improve our whole backline...and throw into the mix he has already played with anthony jerrard at cardiff and were good together, bodes well!
So on paper we now have a team who can compete at this level and need a motivater/man manager to carry on the good work started by mark lillis!
step up...chris powell...the chosen one
he ticks all the boxes in my book and comes across very well indeed
What formation and players he will pick is anyones guess?
but hopefully for the first home game he will stick with a lillis style team to increase our chances of 3 points and not upset the applecart too much
I xpect boro to play 3 5 2 like us last season and have the majority of possession....but towns wing play and graft will open em up like a can of beans
Tight game but town to win 1-0 arry
over to yous
Wer all mad...round the bend....no one takes the cowshed end...na na nana nanana nana

What's the point you're trying to get at? Come back when what? I've personally hired the right manager for Leeds? It's nothing to do with me, if you can't discuss anything in an adult manner, just don't comment.
Champers, Aspin has done a cracking job at Halifax, went down to see them last season, played some good stuff.

Just you passing comment on our chairman hiring Powell... just seems ironic that your crazy owner hires a non league manager and sacks him in August.... that's all, if that's childish.... tough sh-it.

I live in amongst em champers.... I so want to hammer em, apparently they have sold 30,000 already, and they pretend they don't care! you should have seen the hysteria in my neck o the woods when they hammered us in February! Anyway talking ift threads... who's got the Wigan game?

No, they can't argue they don't care as attendances prove otherwise. It's a local derby. Anyone who doesn't care should probably just quit football altogether.
I'm not confident of us getting any points at all in the next 7 days

Huddersfield and Bradford are without doubt the biggest Yorkshire derbies, have we really sold 30k?? Should be a cracking atmosphere is that case.
