Basically the kid has a potential attitude problem like Vellios and believes his own hype like Gosling so the club decided to take a relatively risk free approach. Smart move by the club and a win win if he starts to knuckle down

A lot of the best players have an 'attitude problem'. Others call it confidence.

Indeed he does! As does Sturridge, Ronaldo and many others who people see with confidence but for some reason label them as having an attitude problem.

It's only acceptable when they can back it up (Ronaldo) when they flop like Bendtner they look ridiculous
Hope this lad can back it up though

OP, what's smart bit of business and management by Martinez.
A season with the development squad and training with top class players, showing how hard they work/train will be a great example.

Definitely agree, being humbled in training by one or two of our better players might just be what he needs
