Darren Bent !!

Personally feel this guy is overrated. He is a very good finisher but being english, they make him out to be this lethal goal scorer

I wouldn't mind him now that we need a man who can play up top on his own. I'm not saying he would solve all our problems but he would be a better option than any of our current strikers.

I still think we were right to sell Bent at the time though, after all we did finish 4th and get to the CL quarters without him.

Definitely miss him to be honest, I never really rated him too much but he scores goals, simple as that really. VDV in behind him would have been an efficient combination, he would have been much more a threat than Defoe was tonight, that's for sure. People seem to forget in the 4-4 game against Arsenal he was the one that started the comeback, and made it 4-3.

My take is simple, a fantastic player where he see's himself as a big fish in a small pond. And I say that with no disrespect to Villa at all, that's just his mind.

Bent popped up with a goal against Blackburn ffs thats a bit different to making an impact at OT.

The merits of Bent have been much debated in the past. Hope he does well for Villa but for me, no.
