An Objective View

Hello & Hi,

My thoughts on the game looking at it in an unbiased view:

1. The formation is an absolute no no. It is pretty obvious to see Ozil is basically non existent when we play a 4-1-4-1 formation as he can only be accommodated on the wings if Wilshere and Ramsey both start. I assume we want to build our team around the record signing so a 4-2-3-1 is a MUST. I also thought Ozil was pretty good when he came over to the right, but I'm not surprised he hasn't got an assist yet as his vision is wasted out wide.

2. Ramsey today really disappointed me and has done all season. I think he is rightfully labelled 'the man' in this Arsenal team but he is doing what he did when he came back from injury, playing passes that are unnecessary, he held on to the ball for too long, lost the ball countless amount of times but I'm sure he will be at his best soon (saying that his numbers aren't too bad seeing as though he's had an assist or goal every game).

3. Welbeck impressed me, it is clear to see what Wenger is planning with this team. He has one striking thing in common with Alexis Sanchez (who was my MOTM today), and that is his pressing up the pitch. These two will generally push defences back and provide Ozil, Wilshere and Ramsey that needed space.

All in all I think it was an OK result. Looking at City's lineup today without Toure, this is definitely a missed opportunity but with their chances I am content with the point. 1 win from 4 games is a sluggish start and needs to be sorted quickly! Our defensive issues look worrying now that Debuchy's injury looks bad, not adding a centre back is criminal from Wenger.

Tough week ahead but think once this team gels we are in for some happy days!
