Remembering the bad ol'days

Just got back in after my 160 mile round trip, and the question is 'Why'?
One Spearing shot on goal at home to Wednesday, is really all I can remember of that truly terrible performance.
If we keep Freeman we will be relegated....but I digress... the question tonight is 'what is your worst BWFC home performance ever?'

This puppy came close, but I'm going for the 1998 home 5-1 defeat by Coventry City - which prompted me to write my one and only letter of complaint to Mr Gartside....who many years on appears still to be sailing our lost ship.

Can anyone better that?

5-0 to stoke at Wembley.

That Coventry 5-1 defeat was the only time I have left a football match early ever.

I'm not counting the time my mate got me thrown out as if it were up to me I'd have left her to wait outside. Sadly the stewards decided otherwise.

My first defeat watching Bolton 4-1 at home to Bournemouth in the old Div 3 took some beating for genuine awfullness. Much worse than a rather dull 0-0 where at least we kept the ball for 1 minute.

Lost 3-0 to Northampton at BP once. One lad scored a hat trick...

Worst one however was losing to Bury when SJcM scored a hat trick against us...

Today was just boring. Losing interest...

Im going back to according to my book Saturday 17th December 1988. Beaten 1-0 at home to chester. For the life of me I can't remember the scorer. Awful beat the Infamous 3-0 defeat at home to Darlington on bonfire night for me.
