Ferdinand talks to the Sunday Papers about his departure from United, and it's left me wondering could we have handled it better? It just sounds awful to say to a player who's been here for 11 years "see you later fella, you're off".
-----------
Woodward delivered the news to the 35-year-old centre-back after United's final game of the 2013/14 Premier League season against Southampton, and Ferdinand has spoken of his shock over the manner in which he was told his services were no longer required
"I was taken aback," Ferdinand recalled in an interview with The Sun. "I was sitting there in a blur. It was the last game of the season and I was still in match mode.
"It was almost in one ear and out the other, and after a little while it hit me what he was saying.
"The other boys hadn't heard, so I leaned over and told Vida (defender Nemanja Vidic), 'That's my last game for United. He just told me. That's it'."

Not sure why Rio is complaining. We got him a cake when it was his birthday...

You can't blame Woodward. He was just trying to deliver the news in 140 characters or less, so that Rio would understand it.

If a player isn't good enough, you get rid. I don't see what the issue is, unless of course Rio thinks he's better than he is.

I have Mata in my Fantasy
Do I have a chance that he plays?

Don't risk hooking him. I had Costa in and took him out, thinking he was injured. He scored a hattrick.

Probably should have been handled with more dignity. But I'm pretty amblivient towards it, rio was a prize a$$wipe as a person anyway. Perhaps some karma after his behaviour towards moyes. Who knows?

terrible mistake to sell rio with the little quality back up we have in his position atm. Vida refusing to play for us was bad enough but both of them going was bad planning especially as we havent bought in any replacements (except Mr Red who is a fullback/Central utility player I believe).
Rio deserved better send off too and more respect from the club. he was a better servant than Vida but he got all the plaudits. And Rio wanted to play for United unlike Vidic
