'Arry's Wishlist

This is not a realistic wishlist, more what I would hope Redknapp sees as transfer priorities. Not all of these deals could be done in this window, but would definately bolster our squad in the future:

1. Target Man. Not a Peter Crouch style one, but an Adebayor shaped one, quick and powerful.

2. Poacher. A Lineker-esque striker who is great around the box and you can rely on to score goals. We would probably need him to play up front with another striker however, as in front of VDV wouldn't work. Kind of like a permanently in form Defoe.

3. Centre Back. When King and Gallas are injured, as they often are, we need a better back-up pairing than out of Dawson/Kaboul/Bassong. Seeing as Cahill and Jagielka would be too expensive, maybe Hangelaand, Coloccini or SAMBA.

4. Back up defensive midfield. Unless we sell Palacios this isn't really a priority, but Diarra would definately be an upgrade on him. Sandro should still be first choice. Fellaini if the Diarra deal doesn't go through would suit me.

5. Right winger. I don't ever want to see a Bentley step-over at WHL again. Ever. Bryan Ruiz seems to fit the bill.

If players like Modric need replacing, a replacement should be automatically no.1 priority in my opinion. Our squad is fairly well balanced at the moment, but could easily be 'upgraded' in the areas I suggested above.

Am I stating the obvious? Different transfer targets to the ones I have suggested? Wrong priorities? Let me know

PS. I am not up at 5 o'clock, I'm on a fantastic holiday in Thailand with the family :D

Arry can "wish" all he likes mate.

I think the relationship between Redknapp and Levy is proving to be a bit tense. Levy is wanting silly money for our deadwood therefore not giving Arry the amount of money he wants to spend.

If we dont get Adebayor and Diarra and end up selling Modric and we struggle dont be surprised to see Redknapp mouth off to the media and Levy get the hump......and Arry may well think I dont need this and walk out.

I highly doubt Modric will be sold, and I do think that we will sign Adebayor and Diarra, however my point is that those players may not automatically win us games. Our squad depth is good, but compared to City, Man Utd and even Liverpool not quite there, especially if we do get rid of the 'dead wood'.

it would take us about 5 years to negotiate that many players coming in
