I thought I would write an article about Nacer Chadli. Last year he got a really hard time from Spurs fans - I guess of all the summer signings, he and Lamela were the ones that play in the direct position where Bale played, and since Lamela wasn’t about, Chadli got all the blame, basically for not being as good as Bale (or so it seemed).
However, he grew into the season and we saw glimpses of what he could do - his screamer v Newcastle, his lovely goal v Benfica, and just became a better player as the season went on.
I think he has turned a lot of Spurs fans round in their opinions, and in fact even rival fans and the media have stopped ridiculing us over him like they were doing last year.
Lets not forget that the guy was 7 million pounds - a value signing, and so far this season he has 3 goals. What I liked about his goal on Saturday was the anticipation - everyone else was standing and watching if you look at the replay, but he just followed in the shot, he seems hungry for goals, and in the end it was a simple finish. He also assisted the Eriksen goal.
Anyway I just thought he is due some credit for how he has turned around a really slow start with us, and I hope he continues to improve. He is no world beater, but he is slowly turning himself into one of our more important players.
Nacer Chadli - much improved

I was one of his supporters last season. He arrived with a good reputation having been one of Twente's star players. I also remember him having a good game against us in the CL. He even scored as well
Poch seems to be asking the players to play more narrow and I think Chadli is benefited from this, as I don't think he is too suited to hugging the touchline.

I think it's less of narrow and more of inter-changing positions. because Ade isn't a conventional striker and loves drifting. It means there is space for any intelligent inside forward to exploit. Luckily Chadli understands this. We need Eriksen and Lamela to start scoring regularly.

Got to put my hands up and say I gave him some stick last last season but he's playing much better now.
I had quite a few in the Paxton upper grinning at me after he scored both his goals against qpr

He provides something different to the attack. Eriksen small, but creative and capable of a shot. Lamela, creative and has skill. Chadli has a physical presence, can cut inside or take people on out wide and likes a shot.

Some signings seem to get instant approval without the need to do much, yet Chadli has performed quite well over a number of games and is only starting to get recognised.
He really does seem to have an eye for goal, and seems to score difference types of goals, from composed ones (1st goal Vs QPR), headed goals and Saturday's goal was a real goal poacher's goal, like you'd expect from someone like Hernandez or Sturridge.
He's certainly justifying his place in the team and long may the goals continue.

THE ACE FACE
Also he's deceptively quick (in the way Berbatov was, rather than being outright fast)
================
When i heard we were signing him, i heard he was 6ft 2" and quicker than Walker, so i expected him to be a bit quicker than he is. But he's certainly quick enough and seems to be settling in quite nicely....
