RULE 1. THE APPROACH
(a) An offeror (or its advisers) must notify a firm intention to make an
offer in the first instance to the board of the offeree company (or its
advisers).
(b) If the offer, or an approach with regard to a possible offer, is not
made by the offeror or potential offeror, the identity of that person must
be disclosed to the board of the offeree company at the outset.

2.10 ANNOUNCEMENT OF NUMBERS OF RELEVANT
SECURITIES IN ISSUE
When an offer period begins, the offeree company must announce,
as soon as possible and in any case by 9.00 am on the next business
day, details of all classes of relevant securities issued by the company,
together with the numbers of such securities in issue. An offeror or
publicly identified potential offeror must also announce the same
details relating to its relevant securities by 9.00 am on the business
day following any announcement identifying it as an offeror or potential
offeror, unless it has stated that its offer is likely to be solely in cash.
Any such announcement should include, where relevant, the International
Securities Identification Number (‘‘ISIN’’) for each relevant security.
If the information included in an announcement made under this Rule
changes during the offer period, a revised announcement must be made
as soon as possible.

Seems Spurs are responding to an official offer

I couldn’t understand this either. The above implies the 85% is worth just over 100million, so a total value of around 115million.

When you consider we’re due another 40million in revenue from Gareth Bale (plus outstanding Modric money), television contracts are worth around 80million per year, a squad with a paper value of 100million plus alone and that we own acres of North London (and have planning permission for a money-spinning stadium), how can we only be worth 115million?

Something isn’t quite right there.

1 billion sounded more right to me...

According to Forbes in May 2014 we were valued at £339 million.

It doesn't take in account the new stadium project, land we own, the training centre, squad value and other stuff etc.

Lewis knows how much the club will be worth with a new stadium and CL, so he'd rather wait longer and get that value than sell now.

He's getting on now.
That mythical 500m selling price looks more credible now.

True

I thought about that after posting, reckon he's bored now as well.

The problem IMHO is that Uncle Joe has never needed the money.
If his pension pot was dependent on Spurs being a serious PL/CL player, ENIC would have done a lot more a lot sooner.

Perhaps the delay over new WHL has convinced him the THFC experiment has run its course.
