Upon it's release on December 19, 1997, this truly MAGNIFICENT film achieved worldwide critical and commercial success. Nominated for fourteen Academy Awards, it won eleven, including the awards for Best Picture and Best Director, and the most Oscars ever won by a single film. With an initial worldwide gross of over $1.84 billion, it was the first film to reach the billion-dollar mark. The best film ever made by man, magnificent.

I remember watching it when it came out. Great film I have to say, had me in tears when I was a kid near the end. The narrated part by the older woman playing older Rose made it feel like it had the finishing touch and that song by Celine Dion My Heart Will Go On was fitting to the film.

Want watching it when it came out originally. People were queuing around the block. Took ages to get in, then when I got to the front I was refused entry. The guy on the door said it was women and children first.
