Nicky Clark

i thought he was excellent last night. got good footballing ability when he runs into the channels. Can take a season to find you feet and he had a lot of injuries, but i hope he gets a good run in the team. he is 23 and can develop further as a rangers player as opposed to the other strikers that are in the twilight of their careers.

McGregor and Macleod were stand outs for me last night. Nicky has been playing well lately so long may it continue.

Boyd really needs to get a couple of goals behind him. It just didn't look up to it last night. He has never been much of an arial threat, yet the long high balls were coming in thick and fast last night. It was infuriating to watch. Give him the ball to feet and let him hold up play. That's his strengths.

I completely agree. McGregor has came in and thankfully pushed Foster out the picture and is making the RB position his own. I thought overall the team is working together pretty well, although we're still very scrappy at times. Still, last night's game shows we're capable of competing and we're getting a bit of consistency. Boyd just needs to stick it in the pokey than he'll be flying again. For all that can be said about him he has never let his head go down and obviously has a lot of self belief.

Foster is a total imposter. He shouldn't be anywhere near the team again.

I'm not too concerned about Boyd. However, if we want to have a good run in the cups then he needs to start finding the net. He is still out main goal threat, although Macleod might have something to say about that! He wee man is on fire at the moment. Hopefully next year he gets himself a Scotland call up.

Imagine if we'd given Kane Hemmings (or other young players) the amount of games Boyd has had.

Kane Hemmings was at the club for years and simply wasn't good enough. But I take your point

Honestly feel Clark could be your stand out striker in 12-18 months if he is allowed o get enough game time, good movement, decent touch and works way harder than I imagined he did.

Will Miller get back in once he is fit?

The independence thing has overshadowed what was a good win for us last night.

Again I have been a vocal critic of McCoist but when he deserves credit I'm willing to dish that out. Last night showed that we can be competitive and compete and not only that it was refreshing we kept a clean sheet last night.

I would have expected McCoist on past form to have dropped Clark so it is hopefully a sign that he is learning from past mistakes by playing the young lad in what was our biggest game of the season so far.
