He's got as much talent as Adebayor and 10x the application.
I am really impressed with the areas he gets himself into and the fact that he can create chances for himself (something we haven't had since Henry in 2006).
He will have 8 goals by the time Giroud comes back in January.
He has played 2 games, home to City and away to Dortmund, and hasn't scored. Not the easiest of games.
He will get 15-20 goals this season and that is fine as long as Sanchez, Walcott, Giroud and Ramsey all chip in with 10-15 each.
The problem with our team isn't the front line, it's the lack of organisation in defence, not helped by the fact our workrate in midfield is non-existent.
At this point I seriously think we should have just got Song in on loan.
Welbeck will be good for us.

Doesn't matter how easy or hard the games are, he missed absolute sitters. He didn't even get them on target. Not even close to the target.

I agree - Welbeck will be good for us.
Of course, it's disappointing that he missed those chances last night and the one against Man City, but I think we at least have to give him credit for helping to create those opportunities in the first place.
He got a lot of stick for not finishing the chance against City, but it was his anticipation, pace, and work-rate which gave him the opportunity.
He may need to sort his composure out, but with his movement, mobility, and work-rate, he will get ample chances for us.
I can appreciate what Ace Face says, but I think the Adebayor comparisons are still pretty valid. Adebayor was never a clinical finisher by any means, yet still scored 30 goals in the 07/08 season simply because his athleticism and movement helped to create so many chances for him. And I think the same can be true of Welbeck.
