youth of today

Hi, Liverpool fan in peace. Dont write many articles but had to after last nights events at OT.
As much as it pleases me that my team are on the up at long last i cant help but be impressed by how well you lot have started this season.
I'll admit i wrote you off prior to the seasons kick off, just felt that you'd struggle without Van Der Sar and the team would miss the likes of Scholes and our least favourite Manc, Neville, as dressing room inspiration.
But with the likes of Cleverley, Welbeck, Jones and Smalling all looking like they've been playing Prem football for the last 10 years it seems ol' sour face has gotten it right yet again! Good to see youth given a chance, especially when they're from the UK.
Refreshing to see youngsters like Cleverley given a chance after a season on loan, he did tremendously well for Wigan so seems to have deserved his appearances this term.
Whilst i normally love it when you lose, i do hope that it is not the likes of City or Chelsea that topple you in this years EPL title race. Im not counting LFC out of it however as i see us playing a big part in proceedings this season.

fair comments. much rather see yourselves, a fellow proper club, in the title race with us than johnny come lately like chelsea and city as well.

Phil Jones looks awesome. He alone will ensure United are a competitive force for the next ten years.

I said the other day how United are the only club I can respect albeit painfully

Who'd of thought eh

For me Smalling is a beast of a player and should play ahead of Rio now.

As for Jones I am more disapointed that we missed out on him as he looks pure class.

in that you'll have to play the title contenders a couple of times.

nothing more that the say wigan or bolton will have really.

@phil jones

ok see your point but but who knows? we could end up beating a few title contenders and be involved in the title race ourselves - its not out of the question

no need to analyse my comments so much so you can undermine my article, the reason i created it was to ackowledge Utd are leading the way (as much as it pains me )

one thing i didnt mention was how scary it is to think that you had both Berbatov & Hernandez on the bench too last night - i mean, we all know Spurs are poo away from home to the 'big 4' but you did batter them with an arguably 'weaker' team...they beat us at Anfield when we were on a roll at the end of last season!

It is all very early days, and lets not forget Chelsea had a storming start to last season.....

ill wade in aswell.....
that was a very good performance last night and it looks like phil jones could be a diamond of a signing....
honestly, and obviously i despise united, i cant see anyone else other than man united winning the title with city in second and chelsea in third.
us goons and spuds will be battling for the champs league

Itll be interesting to see how Fergie divides up the playing time between Jones, Smalling and Evans. All 3, especially Jones and Smalling, have shown they are more than capable of replacing Ferdinand already.

Vidic is still the best end of. Rio though, should no longer see himself as an automatic starter
