Kinda puts an end to the AKB arguments that there was no money there. £173m on 31st May. And how much of that have we spent? And add to that we had £120m the year before. All of the idiots who said there was no money available in defence of Wenger will now have to admit they were wrong.
I'm not a WOB but definitely moving in that direction and this is another step.
£173million cash reserve

good evening Wolf you massive bell piece. you only come on here during the miserable periods of the season weird, obsessed lunatic.
"You realise using terms like 'normal people' and 'extremest' when talking about a persons stance on a football manager makes you sound ridiculous?"
===
No, I hadn't realised that, not sure how you came to that conclusion but you are wrong as usual.

I expected this as soon as I saw the figures. People who don't understand finance moaning about cash reserves. You do realise that a part of that is used to annually pay off Arsenal's debts? Yes, the debts still exist. Secondly, the figures being published are the figures before the transfer window just gone.
Yes, the squad isn't complete, but please do not use these 'cash reserves' as a reason to complain. The club needs to be realistic as to how they can spend the cash reserves. The only argument that you can pitch, is perhaps the money already spent could have been spent on the most pressing matters.

We spent about 65m, 40m net, bought our 2nd, 3rd and 4th most expensive players ever... but yeah we still should have spent more. AKB's thought we would spend more but the WOB's thought Wenger would never spend and sold players out of choice. People obsess over these things too much though, Liverpool nearly won a title with Flanagan and Johnson as full backs, there's more to football

We made a net profit on transfers and increased the cash reserves by nearly £50million. Business runs on investing money to grow and increase profits. Any business that just holds the majority of its money in the bank will eventually fall into trouble and Arsenal are at great risk of that. We support a club that does not see the value to be invested in players to achieve success on the pitch in the same way other clubs, like Tottenham and Liverpool who don't have money bag owners, so dont invest in the team as substantially. They have definitely closed the gap and we are at risk of dropping behind them.

I thought Arsenal bought really well in the summer tbh and I suspect you'll go for someone in January. People keep banging on about a DM but the only one with real quality that I saw available who would play in that area was Khedira (who apparently wanted insane wages) and Schniederlin who Southampton wouldn't let go.
Arsenal fans are never happy from what I can see. You've spent lots and lots on big transfers and won a trophy since the purse strings have been loosened a bit but a couple of poor performances and everyone bricks themselves. We're all in a league with two billonnaire owners and Utd and loads of well run and prganised outfitssuch as Everton and Spurs. It's tough but Arsenal look to be moving in the right direction.
The only think I would say is that I'm not sure whether Wengers time has been and gone. Tactics seems to play a massive part of big games nowadays - more so than ever - and I can't think of many times where I think Arsenal have got the points due to some tactical master stroke from AW.

Well said Robbing, you truly are a gooner at heart and Liverpool have also done amazing things lately I wish nothing but success for that massive club, our hate for the oligarchs and sheikhs is shared and anything yanited
