So if Ozil puts in a very good performance, playing centrally at number 10, if Wenger goes for it, does this make Wenger out to be a real loser who has lost it in many respects by persisting with playing him out on the flanks until we all screamed at him to move him central?

No and just moving Ozil central is only trying to fix on part of the problem, which is consistently playing players out of position. I know when I used to play if I changed position I adapted my game a bit and when I moved back it took a few games to adapt back so I don't expect a great performance straight away in Ozils first game back in the middle. He will need time.
I think we also need to play more natural wide players to give balance to the team so would drop Ramsey deeper alongside Flamini and put Pod and Sanchez on the flanks for now. Just imagine Ozil with Pod, Sanchez and Welbeck all moving around in front of him to make those killer passes to that he does so well when in form.

Wenger has an obsession with littering the pitch with No 10s
