p.s. (as im new i thought id ask) one thing that does intrigue me about this website however is the term wum. i understand the concept but not the origin of the term, any explanation would be good.

A "cwum" is a wum whose contribution to the site is so poor that then people try to explain how bad it is, they get their comments modded and often banned.
