I know that our defence has been very poor and most criticised but I have to say, I have been very disappointed with De Gea's start to the season.
Could of done better for Swansea's 2nd when Sigurdsson shot straight at him.
Vardy's goal today, reluctant to come off his line and made it easy for him to compose himself and slot it by him.
Watching him in these five games, he looks bereft of confidence. Whether that boils down to a poor defence infront of him I don't know but he has looked really out of sorts.
Any others picked up on De Gea's poor form as of late?
De Gea out of form.

think the system is finding De Gea out because it demands a Sweeper Keeper and De Gea is simply a great shot stopper.
A keeper starting 15 yards further our reduces the time the striker has on the ball and less time to compose himself. But standing transfixed while the striker choses where to put it is what happened on 2 of those goals today. Not actually blaming him for any of the goals, but it is a weakness in his game.

he tried last week v qpr and himself and rojo facked it up almost resulting in a goal
in fairness to the lad he hasnt had a settled defensive back 4 in front of him for such a long time

He's bang out of form but it doesn't help when the jokers in front of him allow teams to cut through at will

You can't separate the keeper's form from the overall defence. Even the best keepers - and DeGea is a really good is a young keeper - get the yips if they can't trust the back 4 (or 3 or whatever). The defence is a unit.

I like DeGea, but in all fairness he looked a bit lost today, I think it'll be a good learning experience if he gets past it....perhaps a bit slow on reaction time as well. Everyone has the occasional "bad day at the office". No worries.
