One More Game

Well i for one if i was Phil the power. I would have Dougie Noclueman in my office Monday morning and be saying Doug its not worked has it when i took Gary mugson on he made me and the fans a promise mr power he said we are below Derby its not good enough i will get us above them and he did but he had to go cos he was rubbish. So then come Owen i only were shorts Coyle and he said Mr power we are below Burnley and its not good enough i made them and the Bolton fans say i am a hero and love me i will get us above them and he did. Well in the end he had to go cos he got us relegated and was worse then mugson. Then i turn to you and well i could not understand you apart from YES!!!!!!!. I told you uncle Eddie had no money left after all the money i have lost the club. All started well and now gone down hill. Worse then mugson as Derby are well above us and double worse then Coyle as Burnley are in the premiership. So i think its come down to it. Win the next game you can stay on, lose and at full time your bags will be next to where the coach was parked a stamford Bridge you can get the train back to Scotland i will not take any blame as uncle Eddie don't have a clue what goes on. You will be gone. Oh well we can all but dream.

I'm a football fan. Been watching the Whites for 36 years. I can take highs and lows... That comes with being a fan.

Sometimes the manager may annoy me, sometimes the board. Sometimes it's the manner of our football, sometimes the strip or sponser...

It leaves me sometimes disappointed.

Right now I'm embarrassed.

However long this ride under Freedman continues, the club won't have my support. I'm withdrawing my support at the stadium. It's the only thing I can do....

I was at the aldershot play offs, I was a season ticket holder in divison 4... This isn't about anything other than my disgust at the manager and the men keeping him in place...

I'll be back when the club listens.

I hope that you will stay on this forum. You don't need to support the club to have an opinion and contribute. I know your educated so all members will embrace you.

M.T. Worse managers than Freedman.
Jimmy Mcllroy - Jimmy Meadows - Stan Anderson.
George Mulhall - John McGovern - Charlie Wright .
Phil Neal - Roy McFarland - Gary Mugson - Owen Coyle.
I have been a fan more than 60 years stick with it
Managers change supporters don't ,
We lost against wolves by 1 goal away from home .
The reserve goalie was at fault other wise we would have had a draw against a team 3rd from top.
It's been a lot worse than this , apart from the debt.
Confidence has a big part to play when things are bad.
Fans are also a big part in turning things around.
Am I happy no I am not,
Am I happy with Dougie no I am not.
But I don't think anyone else will do any better.
Dougie needs to make it more simple, stick with a formation a settled team drop people who don't play well ie spearing at the moment stop the stupid loan signings give youth a chance etc etc.
But I also don't think he is far away.
Changing managers every few years is not the answer.

GWD, SWIE, I think the problem both MT and I have is that no one with the club is actually listening to a word from the fans. Even during the McGovern Div 4 days we were all on the same page and there was a bond between the club and the fans that meant we could still at least HOPE for better times.

That bond is gone, witness the way Phil and Eddie showed up for the Leeds match but said not one word to anyone but each other during the game.

In all truth the overwhelming feeling I have is apathy, that the club is going down and that nothing can stop it because the people at the top who have the power don't care about us or the club.

They're putting their efforts into the parts of Burnden Leisure/Moonshift etc where they think they WILL make money immediately. The football club can go bankrupt without affecting the rest due to the way the companies are structured so why bother worrying about it?

Hi Lpp, I know how you feel. To be honest I think there are a lot of fans who feel the same way.

I don't think Gartside & Eddie even think about letting the fans know what is happening. If JAH, is right in assessment of what they are doing regarding tax etc. they have bigger fish to fry and they certainly wouldn't be discussing their plans in the media.

As far as I can assess, they have knackered the club for at least the short to medium term. It comes to something when they can't or won't sign a player who may just have been able give the fans something to shout about this season.

As far as making money is concerned, I'm not sure how they are going to do that unless Eddie is thinking of selling more heating elements for electric kettles and that doesn't seem likely.

I don't think we should stop posting on this forum even if we don't go to the games. MT wanted to motivate fans to make our feelings know to Eddie & Gartside, perhaps we should start thinking about what would work. MT mentioned contacting Marc Iles at the Bolton News to see if he could help. I think with enough tweets and mails to him at the paper, it could have the right effect. After all he does have access to the hierarchy at the club.

Goldenwyn, a large part of the problem is DF.

You wrote.

He also needs to learn how to motivate the players. It's quite obvious that is one of his biggest failings. When you look at the players he released at the end of last season it gives us a clue. There was definite unrest in the camp and it wasn't because the players suddenly changed, it was down to Dougie, keep tinkering with the team. No player is going to like tat especially if they have played well in the previous game. Freedman has been a player he should know that sort of tactic isn't going to motivate players. He promised us an explanation regarding what went on but we are still waiting.

I don't think things will be sorted at the club until he goes. Unfortunately it won't be any time soon and we still have the problem of Gartside who certainly won't be going anywhere. It's a complete mess.

It's a point worth considering SWIE. Marc Iles does still seem to have a line into the club and it might be a good one to try and utilise.

As to the Moonshift non-football businesses, there's plenty of scope for them to make some big numbers there, especially with the development work having been approved.

Factor in the Hotel/Conference Centre, the upcoming School and other things that are either already in place and/or being built and you can see why they'd be primarily busy with that.

BUT in my opinion their stance on the Football Club is risky and becoming more so by the day. The fact that they seem content to allow it to molder and to shed so much of its core customer base is at best short sighted and at worst suicidal.

Even if ED wanted out of BWFC then surely this isn't the way to make it an attractive proposition to any outside party with more than three active brain cells.

Lpp, I hope that you are right concerning Making big numbers. Personally I can't see it happening. I sighted the problem with the Hotel recently and I believe it has been a White Elephant since it's conception. De Vere Hotels couldn't make it work so how is Eddie and his directors going to?

The School or Academy as it will be called, how will that make any meaningful money? I'm not sure. It will be funded by the government so I wouldn't think there will be a lot of profit from that.

The Football club Academy. We need to be bringing on good young players who will command a fee when sold on. There's not much evidence that will happen at the moment.

I don't know what else there is. I may of course be missing something. I hope so.

The Land it all sits on for one thing mate. With the planning permission to build on it having been granted it added an extra zero to its value overnight.

Also, the Hotel etc, De Veres tried to out Hilton the Hilton. What they should have done is turn it more into a Premier Inn type of place, neat, clean and relatively cheap for people to use as a rest stop or place to lay their head while the conference centre hosts their widget seminars.

The School will get a LOT of dosh from Government but also a fair bit from Corporate Sponsors, particularly in IT and other tele-comms areas. Most of the equipment for that will most likely be free or nearly so and state of the art at least in the first few years.

Add in the transport links, particularly the eas of access to motorway and Manchester Airport and you really do have some serious potential if it's developed intelligently.

As I say, I hope that you are right, we do need some serious cash if we are going to get out of this mess.

regarding planning permission for the land, do you know what is expected to be developed on the land? There are bound to be exceptions with any planning permission.
