The comments from Ronny down to fans and all in between got me thinking. Can recall when old Jim Craig was the host of CelticTV. It often came up in various conversations how much players in his day basically earned eff all if they were not getting game time. Evrerything was based around these bonus' ranging from just being in the first team squad rising in worth to win bonus' etc.
Now I realise this is a feature of a bygone era but reckon it goes without saying that the fact squad players will realise the same financial rewards wether they are ever present or never even make an appearance has dulled the desire to grab any chance given with both hands.
Just sharing a wee thought not proposing changing the modern setup even it was possible.
