Just a quick one about all this "he moved for the money" BS that gets spouted when either Man City or ourselves sign a player. I don't see why people would have a problem, it is very rare nowadays that any team has players who are there because they support the club. Although their wages are over inflated why wouldn't they move for more money.
I like my job but someone offered me more money to do the same job somewhere else I would bite their hands off. Obviously its different amounts but its still the same principle, if I was on 55k a week and one company offered me 65k and another 80k I know which one I would choose. Just because they make loads of money doesn't mean that more isn't better!!!
Moving for the money

I think if I was to play for Chelsea and earned £60,000 a week and was offered £80,000 to go play for Arsenal I wouldn't. There must be a stage where you think that you earn enough money why would you want to leave a club you support where all your friends are for somewhere else? Although if they were to double my wages, well, yeah i'd probably move :p
However if you never supported the club growing up I don't think loyalty should be raised. Ala Modric.

Oh yeah if a player supports a club and moves for the money thats a different matter, thats why i said its rare that a player supports the club he plays for nowadays, unless they came through the youth system.
But when 'Arry says that Mata chose us over Spurs for the wages and gets all bitter I don't understand it. Obviously there are more reasons to join Chelsea over them but you can't begrudge him if it was for money. He doesn't support Spurs(as far as I know) and we can offer him more. Fair enough i say thats just business! The sport went out of football along time ago

Rumours are that he's on €3 million a year, so 50k a week. Pienaar is on 55k. If that's true then Harry can go **** himself!

We discussed this in an RE lesson once
The teacher said that it is natural to move to somewhere where you are offered more money because people these days are obsessed with success. You would not want to be earning less because it makes you feel inferior and not as good as someone earning more. Money is a sign of success and naturally people like footballers always want to be the best.
