Tyke's Fifa Tournaments Return?

With the release of Fifa 15 upon us I want to start getting some regular Fifa Tournaments going again on Just Another 606. Back in the days of Fifa 12 and more so on Fifa 13 with PS3 I hosted regular successful tournaments many of them being classics. Unfortunately the transition to PS4 was not a good one. It was a 50 – 50 split on who got PS4 and who didn’t and with me being part of the former rather than the latter it resulted in no tournaments whatsoever for Fifa 14 on PS4.
10 months since the last Tournament and I’m hoping to bring them back on PS4. If you’re interested I’ll include all the details you need to know on this article.

What are the Tyke Fifa Tournaments?

At their peak they were regularly held on two Sunday’s in a month covering a number of different leagues, i.e one tournament would see us do the Dutch League, another Swiss. However a rule change means that whoever wins the tournament can pick where it’s hosted next, but they cannot pick the league I just hosted. It could consist of a number of different players and groups, just depended on the league in question. I.e I plan to do the EPL first, so that will be 20 players and 4 different groups. First come, first serve of course.

How do I enter Tyke Tournaments?

I will stick up an article on this board and people will have one week to sign up and if we fill the tournament quota by then, I will do the team and group draws. You are assigned a team and a group and I’ll sort the rest in terms of how many groups we have, who progresses etc…

What I expect from players

The tournaments are hosted on a Sunday and normally last 3 hours starting at 7PM, depending on how far you progress. I expect anybody who signs up to keep in regular contact with me either on my official tournament thread or via PSN. Don’t sign up if you have no intention of playing and don’t sign up if you’re going to moody about the team or the group you’re drawn in. Turn up on time and have a laugh, of course I realise real life can interfere and you have to pull out of the tournament, just make sure you let me know, preferably at least 48 hours before and not 48 mins.

What do I do?

I put a lot effort into these tournaments, when the group and teams are drawn I preview each group and predict a winner. I also do a comprehensive review at the end of a tournament. I have got my own rankings system so we can chart the progress of the best and worst players. I’ve missed doing these tournaments, despite the stress certain players bring and I can’t wait to get cracking with them on PS4.
