Schadenfreude

Nope it's not a tip. As all of you will know Schadenfreude is a German expression which means taking great pleasure in the misfortune of others.

Now Saturday was a great example of this. I was so sick and tired of the BBC's racing coverage that i was jumping for joy when Carlton Corgi got beaten. My dad informs me that he felt exactly the same when Devon Loch couldn't quite make it over the line in the grand national.

Have there been any other results at the end of a race that have made you punch the air not because you had the winner but you were delighted to see someone lose?

Any comments laughing about injured horses or fallers will be deleted and I guarantee that you will never be invited to any of my badger baiting festivals.

The opposite really Bob Casey. I was so annoyed when the "FLY" won the champion hurdle that I was straight on to get on with Matt Chapman, he introduced me GARYYYYYYY BROOOOOOOOOM from Catterick has emailed in. Sadly he didn't have the will to continue with the mail. I still can't believe the fly won the Champion Hurdle. His owners were just there for a day out ffs!!!

Seriously? You're Gary Broom - as in the one whose name gets read out on Get On on ATR? Fantastic. I love the way you wind them up - your joking about Binocular is brilliant.

I battered a badger to death the other day on my estate and I reckon he'd have still given the hurricane a better run for his money than that dog.

That is indeed me Bob Casey. I am not winding them up those are my serious opinions. I think they should retire Frankel after Ascot as well

To be honest i could see them pulling Frankel out next week. They bottled the Derby so why not bottle Ascot as well. My guess is something's not right but they're not going to say that yet - in fact I think they're more likely to run him if he isn't right and lay him for an absolute fortune.
