Two unspectacular names there, but I thought they both did themselves proud.
Big performance for Mason and maybe we have yet another academy product ready to make an impact.
As for Naughton - I have defended him on here for ages, he is a good right back. It is only when he had that extended run at left back and was terrible that he got this reputation for being rubbish.
Remember that when we bought naughton and walker from Sheff United it was widely thought that naughton was the better of the two.
He put in a good performance today, and as usual, didnt let us down at all.
Good point and now we move on.

Yes, they both played well.
And so did Danny Rose, who has been crapped all over on this board.
In fact, they only player I would have subbed early was Erikson.

Mason - too early to draw any substantial conclusions except to say today's occasion didn't overawe him. I think he has quick feet too.
Naughton - OK fine, but as with Rose he must show consistency.

Dembele is extremely overrated by fans of other clubs. He has one good game in ten and people notice him again. He slows our play down so much and offers little invention going forward.
Paulinho just looks worse every time he plays

I know Dembele has next to no creativity, but he carries the ball well and he's strong in the tackle and on the ball and has physica presence in midfield. He's an underachieving footballer.

I've bashed him a bit but probably unfairly when he was at left back, he and the whole defence did a good job today.
Mason's making a real impression so far.
