Ozil or Fabregas

Some of you on here were not bothered Arsenal didnt resign fabregas because you have Ozil. Is that still the case. I have no idea why ozil is considered top draw. Decent player but nothing special at all. Fabregas on the other hand looks to me the best midfielder in the league bar none.

Ozil was poor once again yesterday

Yeah, arguably the man of the match for Arsenal had a poor game. You either didn't watch the game or you should be following a diffeent sport.

I actually thought Ozil was decent yesterday.

If Ozil was at Chelsea and Fabregas was at Arsenal we'd all be drooling over Ozil
---------------------------------------------------

This is actually true. When Fabregas was in Arsenal, even though he was already the best playmaker in the league, none of the caants suddenly hyping him would have said he was better than Ozil - right until Fabregas left and Ozil came to Arsenal. For the record, I prefer Cesc to Ozil, it's the way petty rivalry clouds people's judgement that amuses me.

This is 100% true.

Not true for me i hardly seen much of Ozil before he joined arsenal knew all about him from reputation but had not seen many games apart from when he destroyed England in 2010. However i always thought fabregas was top draw i still don't understand why barca let him go let alone why arsenal didn't take him back. You should have sold any player in your squad to make room for him. its no coincidence he just come back to the prem and broke a record for most consecutive assists. top top player.

Didnt see much of ozil yesterday tbh, Didnt think he stood out.
Fabs issue at Arsenal was when the chips were down he went missing and in big games. He wasnt great against city last week but none of the chelsea players were. So we will see. He is making a massive difference for us in the "smaller" games though.

if fabregas was available last summer we would've signed him without a seconds hesitation. but after ozil came in and ramsey became the welsh jesus wenger didn't feel he had room for him. top player but he's a caaant for jumping ship when we needed him most

We spent over £60m net on players and still have yawning gaps at CB and DM and still needed a top class striker, which we still don't have. Fabregas was FAR from a priority. My only annoyance is he didn't stay at Barca or move abroad and instead moved to a league rival of ours. But I have no regrets about him not signing for us.

Fabregas is an unbelievable player no doubt. But why dwell on the past. Özil is just as good on form, which thankfully he's picking up. Yesterday he was pretty good in all honesty.
I'm not gonna lie but in 2010 World Cup I honestly thought Özil had more talent. Having also seen him rip England apart in 2009 U21 it was something special. I'm glad Arsenal have had two of the best playmakers in this generation.

best game Ozil's played in 4 years was against a Capello plagued England side

Yeah, he was a 3-time German player of the year and serial Ballon D'Or nominee before he was even 24 just because he once skinned Gareth Barry against England.
