'brentford star saddened by leeds plight'

http://www.london24.com/sport/football/clubs/brentford/brentford_star_saddened_by_leeds_plight_and_backs_supporters_to_lift_club_1_3787453

So first a Neville and now Douglas bemoaning 'Leeds Plight'. It seems everyone thinks its outrageous Redfearn didn't get the job. Don't get me wrong, I would have been happy if he became head coach, but everytime he was asked about it in interviews he never once said he wanted it. If he really wanted it he should have nailed his colours to the mast. Maybe he told Massimo privately he wanted it and didnt get his wish, who knows, but I can't see the Nevilles or Douglas having the inside track on that info.

Also what plight are we in exactly? Fair enough we're in transition. There's certainly been cause for optimism despite some bad results. Are we in any more of a plight now than when you were taking a wage from Leeds Mr. Douglas? I would say no.

Why would anyone be saddened by Leeds' plight?
