Striker

I see that Sturridge is still no closer to being fit. So who do we sell and who do we buy in January. It is a tough window to buy in as clubs do not like selling.

We need a striker and that is obvious as Balotelli is hopeless and does not fit our style of play and system. Borini is average and Lambert is a pub team player. We also need to sell as well to balance the books.

Who would you sell this January and who would you like to see us buy to help cover for Sturridge while he sits in the doctors office for half the season?

I would personally sell -

Borini (Mid table player. Should play for a club like Everton) £10m
Sakho (Big girls bluse not even in this weeks squad for going AWOL) £15m
Enrique (Loads of injuries and we Moreno and Flanno as cover) £4m

That is £19m to put on a striker. I would prefer a young and up and coming striker over Lambert & Balotelli any day of the week. We need a srtiker who has good movement on and off the ball to stretch defenses so that Couts and Sterling can utilise the space.

I would buy Icardi who we were linked with in Summer. Great movement and a good eye for goal.

Who would you sell and what striker would you buy?

There is a reason he keeps getting kicked ut of clubs as he is a disruptive influence. Yes he is talented but he has baggage.

--------------------------------

Was he kicked out of Inter? Or did City just offer a significant amount of money for him. Even more significant perhaps is that he was bought by a former manager in Mancini.

Did he get kicked out of Milan? As far as I can see Milan's actions to sell were dictated by their finances and he was one of the few assets they had to make some money.

As for the baggage, he had a couple of bust ups with Mancini and Micah Richards in particular, but I've heard practically nothing of any problems since he left Man City. He was sent off once for Milan for dissent at the end of a game; this happened to be the game in which he missed his first ever penalty, so you can see why he may have been frustrated/angry. That's no excuse but it just gives a little background to it.

Didn't Suarez come to us with baggage?

T bone what would you like to see tomorrow as studge has not travelled?

Would you start mario in a 433? Play a diamond with borini beside mario? Start lambert?

I always want us to play 2 up front as we can't defend.

I would go with Borini as he has more movement than Lambert

I think the 4-2-3-1 worked well against Everton and would go with that again.

Probably bring in Coutinho for Markovic.

So do somw here still think studge aint a sick note. Said start of the season we will not ba bale to rely on him all season. We should have just gambled on the remy. Surely 8 mil gamble plus wages was worth it compared to getting two stikers who do not apear to fit the system?

You're a sick note. By that I mean you're an idiot.

I was so wrong with this article. We don't need a striker at all. Mario will score a hat trick against Madrid. I bet Casillas is having sleepless nights

Unless Rodgers plays him with a partner it will all end badly. It's up to the the manager whether he succeeds or not.

I think it's time to admit we were wrong with this one. Balotelli has played as a lone striker many times throughout his career and in fact is suited to it more than with a partner. It hasn't worked out and the sooner he's gone the better for not only the club but himself. He needs to wake up and realise he has to work hard, maybe now twice as hard as everybody else.
