According to the BBC gossip page;
"Rangers boss Ally McCoist is enraged that Uefa has booted out the appeal against Steven Whittaker's three-game ban".
It appears not all establishments are the same and some footballing bodies back their officials.
Enraged

I think a headbutt would possibly get a longer ban than 3 games. Would probably go to a review panel?
I agree they need changed, but this is UEFA we're talking about. They have no grasp on football.
BUT. These rules were in place long before this game took place. Whittaker knows the rules, he broke them, he gets the punishment that the rules state.
What is there to appeal about?
I'm not saying these things need looked at, but there was no basis for an appeal. Doesn't make much sense to me. Probably just a gesture to the fans.

Yes "rules is rules" as they say and there was no point in appealing it. However this is Rangers were talking about and we know how they have become accustomed to getting their own way, (with the SFA). Or perhaps as someone else has suggested, they hoped the ban would be increased?????

You could be right Elite.
Rediculous eh.
Some football rules are a joke.
Joey Barton getting away with cheating cause the referee had already given him a yellow. What a joke.
The people in charge of the rules are clueless. But as a nation, we need to start playing by these rules. And also bending them like nearly every other nationality playing the game.
On a side note, anyone see Bardsleys tackle in the Sunderland - Newcastle game? Like something from the 70's/80's.
Quality.

pieman - yep seen it. Was a belter. The game reminded me of an OF game. Tasty tackles flying in left right and centre with very little good football. Still entertaining tho.
