A goal, an assist, hit the post and the crossbar in 65 or so mins for Belgium u21s(edit it was actually the senior side, my bad) last night. He looks like a good player and while it would be good to have him at the moment another season of playing week in week out is probably best thing for him.

Well I do t really care about England at all I just think that you often see players fast tracked into the senior squad and the. Either not play enough or get criticized for not performing when the team does poor.
More game time in the u21s especially in tournament format will benefit the senior side in the long run.
I'd much rather see sterling not play every game for England senior side at 19 he'd be much better off with less pressure playing for the u21s for anther year or two.

Oh he did apologies thought it was the u21s

agree, i reckon most of it is the media fault though in hyping them up, they make out sterling is vital to england(do English fans?or is it just the media putting unnecessary pressure on them so young, and i dont mean from a club rivalry point of view!), now if a younger member of the team is being classed that way it is very worrying indeed, the older players should be the vital ones to england, and the younger players getting the vital experience without the added pressure put on them.

It's same at club level too I think sterling needs a bit of a break he's not been his usual self recently maybe a few games off the bench in the coming weeks will help.
Agree jenners at 19 you shouldn't be a mainan for the national side especially a team like England who have a very large pool of players to choose from. I know some exceptional players will and I'd put sterling I t hat category but maybe had Owen Rooney etc had a bit more time away from both club and senior international sides at that age they may have not aged so badly I. Their late 20s especially Owen we wrecked the lads hamstrings and knees

Sterling should be in the 21's for the tournament, and he shouldn't be playing every game for the full team.
I think other countries are more careful with young talent than we are.
We are obsessed with a 'first team', and once a young player has a couple of good games that's it they are in until they drop dramatically or get injured.
We have enough depth in attacking midfield to waltz through this qualifying group without Sterling playing every game.

Video shows a confident young lad, should've scored when he hit the post but it didn't get to him, unlucky with hitting the bar, excellent pass for the assist and a good goal to round off the performance.
He's like a younger but right footed Sturridge.
Will be a good player, but potential to be excellent.

I was in Brussels for much of the World Cup, and they love him there. Certainly rate him higher than Lukaku, that's for sure.
I thought he looked pretty good in Brazil tbh. Not sure why any Liverpool supporter wouldn't be excited by his signing.

Looks a lot better in that video than he did at the World Cup. The experience will have done him good.

Huge talent. Will prove to be a bargain, IMO.
