Can I ask your help?

Bit of a long shot...

I am currently a third year university student in the middle of doing a dissertation for my degree. Basically I'm looking at how being a football fan can influence a person's identity. I have been in contact with Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust and they have agreed to help me out by supporting me with it.

If you have a spare few minutes it would help a lot if you guys could fill out my questionnaire on fan identity. Here is the link...

I tried it but having the same problem sorry, can't work out if I've submitted or not! I keep getting same screen, minus some of my answers.

Some future advice meant in an entirely non-patronising way: you have to make sureys as easy as possible for the user. That includes using software that allows routing (any decent survey tool will) so that respondents don't have to write 'no' etc. when a question isn't valid - instead the question is automatically skipped. Otherwise people get fed up quick and quit. If it's easy for them to complete, you'll get a lot more response. Also, triple check the survey works, so that you're confident people's responses will be captured. If there are problems like some are having here, again you've lost responses.

All that is meant kindly I promise! I used to work in surey design...

I'm not a fan of defaulting specific answers.
From experience these could skew your results.

I completely agree with everything you've said, I didn't actually make this one, this was made by the guy behind the supporters club at Cambridge United. I have made a paper copy one (via microsoft word) which, without sounding arrogant, is ten times better laid out and easy to navigate than this one. But the guy offered to put a electronic version on his website which has meant I've got 50+ more replies so I couldn't reject his offer and I appreciate his help.

But the copy I will include in my dissertation is so much more slicker and of higher quality than this one. I'm aiming for a first in my project, as that's what I've achieved in the past, and if I had to include this one it would barely scrape a pass. My version is on that website somewhere but the guy at Cambridge emailed this one out to drum up more responses.

Until a couple of guys have pointed it out I didn't realise how poor this version is! I apologise for problems you've encountered with it and I appreciate your feedback

My company uses ViewsCapture produced by Action Dialog Partners in Sweden. Very sophisticated and creates accurate results which can be analysed in many different ways.
