Oh and Wenger gets castigated by me for completely ignoring the clubs weaknesses and purchasing attacking midfielders in every window leaving his team completely bullied into submission often when it really matters, not for his style of play.

Well whoever gave you the info DJ it proved to be spot on.
So Phase I {Accurate Intelligence} is complete time to put Phase II {Influence the Decision} into motion.
You need to speak to your man in the know and make sure that when he hears a rumour like KJ is planning to change two of the back four one for a part time defender the other for a very inexperienced defender he knows what to do.
I have prepared a script for him to use that will get the point across to Kenny and make sure he reconsiders. Make sure he follows it to the word.
