An interesting article here about Borrusia Dortmund in regard to how they treat their fans and run the club. If we ever get our new stadium I hope our club adopt a similar approach, although I doubt it..

Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger was recently asked whether he feared Dortmund's players or their manager, more. He responded by saying: "It is the Yellow Wall that scares me the most." The sudtribune, or south stand, has the capacity to assault the senses with its raw passion and noise. More than 25,000 people stand on the terrace during Bundesliga games. For European games, safe standing rails are replaced by seats.

That is what new WHL needs to design in.
Even if the PL will not allow standing, have the capability to do it on day one.

The last time I saw the design they had changed it to include a single uninterupted tier like Dortmund, or the Kop behind one of the goals..I don't know if safe standing will ever come back though

"I don't know if safe standing will ever come back though"
I would go to Dortmund and ask what their max capacity is with all seating. If in the mid 50K level, that would give new WHL the ability to get to Dortmunds' 70K if they used the same barrier/seating config.
I only experienced a 50K WHL.
Would be epic to experience something akin to the 70K of way back when.

No way would we see 70,000 Spurs supporters in the new WHL, standing permitted or not.

The was kind of the point of the article though, season ticket holders pay on averge £9 per game! No-one is priced out of coming, at those prices we could definately fill a 70k stadium.

I think if we had capacity for 25,000 standing and 50,000 seated at £9 (!) per game, we'd see a sell out every week.
Traditional fans driven out by £83 a ticket for top tier games

Better than the Scouse motto.
Quids for kids.

We'd never be able to compete unless the rest of the league lowered their ticket prices too.. agree with RDBD though - design in safe standing areas - you never know when the regulations will change.
