Tyke tip: It’s always harder when trying to defend the title, but players also fear the champion too

Fast becoming one of the best players it was only a matter of time before Sideshow won his first title and so he did at the Saudi Tournament back in November 2013. I’m sure like all the great champions he will want to win again, but this is a very different tournament and he’s not been blessed with a decent team. Having said I think he will finish in the top 2 just behind Santi and could go on to reach the semis or quarters which with Hull City is a pretty good achievement. However once you’re champion you don’t want to finish in them places, you want to win. If Sideshow can win with Hull City he will surely ranked amongst the greats.

Tyke tip: You’ve gotta fancy your chances against Monica and Rory, maybe even Sideshow. 7 points from then and it’s very much knock-out time.

Don’t know much about Marky, he describes himself as ‘average’ which is what I would probably describe Liverpool on this edition of Fifa, amazing what losing one player can do because last season they were brilliant. However there is a chance here, Monica and Rory have Burnley and Newcastle respectively and you should really be looking for max points there. This is an ideal opportunity to leave an impression on the tournament, but my head says you’ll not do so.

Team: Burnley

Tyke tip: If you practice and work on a system, even the worse teams can be effective

Well somebody had to get them. Yes Monica has copped for the dreaded Burnley and that alone has probably ruined any chances of tournament success. However looking at his H2H record and a glowing reference from Ludy I have a feeling this guy just might clinch third place in this group and go into the play-offs. Think that will probably be the end of the road for him then, but if he chooses to keep playing in the tournaments he could very much be one to watch. Hope I get to play him.

Team: Chelsea

Tyke tip: You’ve got Chelsea, no need to moan. Get on with it and show us how good you are.

Tournament veterans may remember this guy at the French Tournament. Complained about the team he was drawn and subsequently left the tournament in a huff. Well he has apologised and that’s forgotten about now but it appears to have worked. Santi has got Chelsea who are probably 2nd to Man City in terms of strength and he will probably have a decent tournament. Doubt he will win but a semi-final place can help erase the memory of his last tournament debacle.

Tyke tip: Finish the few chances you’ll get with Newcastle like you do on Pro Clubs and you may have some success

I was surprised to learn that this will be Rory’s first ever ‘official’ tournament as tournament veterans will know I like to do spin-offs which are the ones Rory’s only played. Rory is a good player no doubt about that and if he had a better team than these I would fancy him to progress. He can certainly beat everybody bar Santi I reckon in this group but I just don’t think it will happen due to the Newcastle factor. Having said that, it wouldn’t completely surprise me to see Rozza in contention for the knock-outs.
