What the hell does "play up" mean. I thought when kids were being naughty they "played up"

I've heard other L2 teams do it too. At Fratton Park last season, we had Wycombe (playing in fackin yellow) doing the same chant...

Not quite as bad as "United. United. United" though That really is the worst of all imo. Nothing against your team but that is just awful.

Certainly not the most creative but I don’t actually mind it. The United one doesn’t even have the beautiful delicacy of a rise and fall!
