Steven Taylor is nowhere near Premiership quality and I doubt very much he would be better than fourth choice for us.

My understanding is that there is no recall clause in the loan contract.

If we should be without MM or Wilson before Jack Hobbs is ready I would prefer Lascelles to Taylor without hesitation so that settles it for me.

If they are able to recall Jamaal, they must have someone better they can offer us, if not we should seek financial compensation which seems a bit bizarre I know

Taylor has been on the slide for a few seasons now. Was good three or four years ago but not so sure now. Got enough defenders making up the numbers as it stands (Collins/Halford). Lascelles may get his opportunity in the team at Forest sooner rather than later as Wilson looked more than a little shakey at Cardiff. Don't think Pearce will stand for more performances of that Ilk.

Perhap's the problem is that Jammal isn't getting game time? After Wilson's awol performance at times against Cardiff perhaps Lascelles will play tomorrow night?

Yes, I can't see Newcastle being happy that he is currently on the bench but ultimately it's Pearce's call. If the loan is for the season with no recall then there's not much Pardew and the Geordies can do about it.
