Fifa EPL Tournament Review and Opinions

The first Fifa Tournament on PS4 has concluded. Here is the review for the EPL Tournament, I hope you enjoy it.

Starting off in an enlarged group B that consisted of no less than seven players of what originally was five. Yes thank you Hizmo and Mex for not showing up, you killed group A! Anyways this new influx of players which consisted of Wonderman and JAG, didn’t stop Kent strolling the group as predicted. He won all six of his games taking maximum points and racking up a 20 plus goal difference. He certainly was playing like the tournament favourite. The other person tipped to do well in this group and the tournament was Saggy. He struggled a bit dropping points to Kent and Tyke respectively, but he did win four of his six games which ensured he would finish runner-up in the group and take his quarter-final place. Things got a bit more interesting as we move further down the table. At the very bottom was Wonderman, who certainly needed to play like a Wonderman to achieve anything with Static Stoke. The best he could muster was a 4 – 4 draw with 1man, impressive to say 1man had Manchester City and Wonder was 4 – 0 down, impressive indeed. However he was dispatched to the tune of some pretty embarrassing score lines and finished bottom of Group B. The one thing you can guarantee for 1man is that he is inconsistently inconsistent hence why I tipped him to exit in the groups despite having Man City. If the collapse against Wonderman wasn’t bad enough, he only went on to register one more victory a 1 – 0 win against JAG. He lost a further three matches against Kent, Saggy and Tyke, some unlucky, some not. The crucial sub-plot was against Wilshere who tactically outfoxed 1man and stole the play-off place, 1man and Man City were out. So yes despite Wilshere losing 4 games amongst them a few hammerings, he still got into the play-offs thanks to the 1man victory and a 7 – 3 smashing of Wonderman. JAG effectively held a four point lead over Wilshere in fourth due to his superior goal difference so it was a comfortable qualification for him with three victories over Tyke, Wonder and Wilshere. Tyke edged just ahead of him with ten points, I also registered three wins and a draw.

Group C stayed the same size just with Ludy replacing RoryT. I predicted Santi and his Chelsea to win this group and he did just that. It wasn’t as easy as Kent did it, but it doesn’t have to be. His only dropped points came against Ludy in a 1 – 1 draw, the rest he either edged past or dispatched with ease. So on that same token Ludy came second on goal difference, he also despatched his opponents in different manners and finished behind Santi by only one goal difference, doesn’t matter though he was through. Now we had Monica with Burnley, Sideshow with Hull and Marky with Liverpool, but in a change of the usual Premier League order it would be Liverpool who finished below these teams. Marky couldn’t find his groove against a group full of talented players registering only one point in a 1 – 1 draw with Monica. This resulted in a bottom placed finish. Monica however was making himself noticed with his Burnley team, the draw with Marky was complimented by a win against Sideshow to the tune of 2 – 1. This got him third spot and due to group complications at the start this resulted in him going through. The champion Sideshow on another day would’ve been out, however his solitary victory against Marky got him into the play-offs against Wilshere.

Didn’t get to see the play-off game but Sideshow did take the lead only to be pegged back by Wilshere in the 64th min? Via a penalty. However Sideshow showed his resolve and got himself back in front and that’s how it stayed at 2 – 1. Wilshere can hold his head up high, did well with Crystal Palace, but it was to be Sideshow who defends his title in the quarter-finals.
