In light of tonight's performance at West Brom, what would your first eleven be for our first major test this season?
Plenty of talking points regarding our potential first eleven.
Has Fellaini earned himself a starting berth with his second half performance? LVG admitted post match we needed more physicality in the side.
Has another anonymous and ineffective showing from Juan Mata killed his chances of playing against his former club? Or could LVG opt for him in Rooney's absence, with Mata wanting to prove a point to a man who seemed so blasé in dispensing with him?
Do we continue with the same back four even though we leaked another two goals tonight?
How long will Van Gaal persist with his friend Van Pershieee despite him being very off the boil?
I'd be interested to see what formation you would play and who would be in it.
I'd go for a 4-2-3-1:
De Gea
Rafael Jones Rojo Shaw
Carrick Blind
Valencia Fellaini Di Maria
Falcao
Think it is imperative we give Blind some extra support in protecting the defence, so Carrick for me has to play. I would normally be reluctant to rush him back in to such a big game but his game doesn't rely on pace, and him and Blind could be key to keeping us solid.
I'd play the same back four to keep some continuity, something we have been unable to call upon due to injuries. We will begin to look much better at the back when we have a settled defence.
I'd play Valencia and Di Maria on the wings because we need to combat Chelsea's threat down the flanks and in those two, we can offer pace on the counter attack. A 4-1-2-1-2 won't work against Chelsea because they would simply kill us in the wide areas.
It was a toss up between Fellaini and Herrera for the more advanced CM position, and as impressed as I have been with Ander, I think Fellaini could be useful and offer us an aerial presence. On the flip side, Herrera offers us some tenacity in the middle and would press much better than Fellaini. Real hard to pick between these two but Mata would no doubt be benched for me. It gives me nightmares thinking about how the game would simply pass him by and Chelsea slicing through us at will.
Falcao gets the nod over an out of form RvP and Falcao gave Chelsea a roasting in the Super Cup final a few years back.
Over to you...
Team for Chelsea.

'You need to stop drinking the anti-freeze mate.'
Bless him. I wonder how low we would have to finish before we finally broke him.

I am broken after that draw but at least Fergie knows how to win with Peterborough

LvG out, Darren Ferguson in?
Or is our poor form down to the fact that the ref refuses to give us at least 3 blatant penalties in every game we don't get maximum points?

Maybe SAF is talking to the Glazers about this.

Rojo must go.
Why did he cost £16m?

Because he is more valuable than most of the Wolves players combined.

Unless Chelsea have some kind of brain fart then it won't matter what team you put out.

This has happened a lot in first halves for the past few years.
