With less than seven hours to kick off and no match thread posted I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring for the role. Which might be a foolish time to make a debut given our recent run of bad form.
Wolves host 'Boro tonight in a clash of two of the biggest clubs in the league, with both sides eyeing up a place in the top six as a result of a victory. It will be interesting to see how many make the long trip down from the NE on a work/school night, but I'm still expecting more away fans (and a better quality) than for the next home game v Blouse.
Our last home league game against Boro saw us come out on top 3-2, with a winner from much loved striker Kevin Doyle. Let's hope equally hard working but goal shy Dicko can repeat that feat tonight.
Looking at the history books, Boro have a clear advantage over Wolves in terms of results. In the 83 games we've played, the visitors have won 41 times to Wolves 23. But in the last 20 years honours are even, with 3wins apiece.
Talk from the Wolves dressing room is that there will be changes from the side that surrendered so feebly against Millwall on Saturday. Goldbourne has to feel unlucky to have been dropped but should regain his place following an inept debut at LB from tommy rowe. Whether the ex'Boro (Peter) player can keep his place in a revamped midfield is yet to be seen. But the most likely other change will be at RM, where RVLP failed again to build on the early promise he showed back in August.
Up front there has been talk of a goal shortage and although Wolves have netted 9 times in the last 4 matches, not one of those goals has come from a striker. But even with Dicko's current dry spell, it is hard to imagine there'll be a return to the starting line-up for 'fit' again Leon Clarke. And the signing of Sagbo seems to be one more mysterious decision from KJ in recent weeks, with him dropping rapidly from first choice starter, to bit part sub, to Jacobs wing man.
Prediction for tonight: the heart says Wolves 2-1 Boro, the head says it's going to be a long, cold, wet night at Molineux and we'll do well to come away with another point.

My feeling all along was that I hoped we could get promoted at the first time of asking. But if we didn't, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
At the current rate it'll more than likely be 2.

But as Tam has rightly stated. All could change during January and if we get a few better players in and our overall performance improves then in your next poll come February, I may go for a higher #.
