Kids for a quid on Saturday.
Get your little trees down there.
I always took advantage in the past with mine and he is now an avid fan.
Let's make some noise.
Not to be confused with other offers in neighbouring counties where you can get 1 adult and a kid in for free

Can't knock any clubs attempts to increase attendance by the next generation by whatever means. Free tickets might upset season ticket holders but personally, when I was a season ticket holder, I would be happier to see 30,000 in the ground with discounted/free tickets rather that 22,000 or so. Derby's season tickets are generally cheaper than Forest's so they'll have slightly bigger scope to do ticket offers.
Not being a season ticket holder for the last few years I can now appreciate how expensive it is going to matches for everyone else. Finding I am having to pick and choose games more which would've never happened when I first started watching Forest in the mid eighties.

Season ticket holders must not lose out. My ticket costs just over £21 a game. More needs to be done to satisfy us as well as the floating supporter that comes to the odd game

Think it is fair that season tickets get the best end of the deal through investing at the start of the season.
I strongly disagree with the price increase in match day, though. Punishes those who are unable to commit to getting a ticket until the last minute for a number of reasons (work commitments, etc). I know it is only a £2 increase but it is the principle of the matter for me. Would be interesting to see how many people that has put off over the six or seven years they have been doing it. Surely some kind of club shop voucher of money off food/matchday programme for those who buy tickets in advance would be fairer?

Will, it's a balancing act between maximising revenue. trying to fill the ground and making sure you do something for potential new fans. Having offers such as kids for a quid and various other things is a way of managing that.
Whereas I think we could do a little more for fans I also suspect Derby may be slightly the other way. I can recall that on at least one occasion it's been highlighted that ticket related income for us has actually be in higher of the course of a season. Who knows if they add a little onto their prices it could reduce the amount they bring in and mean an emptier stadium.

Ticket revenue even at this level is not a vital lifeblood it once was for clubs when you look at sponsorship and tv deals. Don't see why they should bleed the fans dry. There wouldnt be half the sponsorship and the deals if the fans weren't there filling the grounds and helping to creat the spectacle.
Still haven't heard a convincing argument for the matchday price increases. An extra £2 is nothing to the club and I suspect that the number of people buying on a match day seems to have dwindled looking at the queues at the ticket office before matches?

It's probably more of a percentage than you may think and the majority of the income in previous years.

Good chance of breaking 20,000 now then for this mid table fixture

Well, I don't understand the justification for it. I wouldnt pay the extra £2 out of principle. I don't buy programmes, food or anything inside the ground. Love going to the games but I think they take too many liberties with fans.

It's a wider problem within football Will, and we could slash prices but we're already going to be failing FFP so that's not going to make things any better. It depends whether people want us to develop and compete or just hold ground where we are or just slip back into League One.
The stupid thing about it is if we could make it back to the Premier League then that would be the point that the club could slash ticket prices because it would then be a drop in the ocean compared to everything else. I believe Burnley did exactly that and even the sheep put a half price season ticket offer on the condition they achieved their certain promotion.
