I wouldn't have bothered bringing him back. We have no assurances this won't happen again and at 33 his best days are behind him. Crazy move by England when they are trying to look to the future.

I agree with sharkspur, I don't get this at all - unless they want him to open the batting in the Ashes.

I can't see them opening with Trott but Robson is not the man to do it either. Adam Lyth deserves a crack in my opinion, not sure what else he has to do
