Genius

Following my early appraisal of Daniel Levy, i'd just like to say that if this article is accurate, I now consider this man a genius.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-14641254

"The club was due in the High Court on Wednesday seeking a judicial review over the Olympic Park Legacy Company's choice to hand the stadium to West Ham.

But Spurs were involved in intense negotiations with the office of London Mayor Boris Johnson on Tuesday night.

They are close to striking a deal to build a new stadium in north London."

I think we can once and for all see that Levy NEVER intended to move from North London and the whole process of bidding for the Olympic Stadium was to force Haringey to help us out with the process of building our new stadium.

However, West Ham in their underhand dealings have perhaps granted us the backing we need to build it. Boris Johnson, in attempting to stop us from embarrassing the Olympic Committee and several members of the Government, looks set to grant us funds to press ahead with the new stadium and regenerate the local area, perhaps also seeing this as an opportunity to appease the local residents after the uproar a few weeks ago.

Mouse :

First time round Levy wanted the OS for real.

Now tis about (in order of importance and Darth-ness) :

1. Sorting out the politniks who have tried to ponce off the NPD.

2. Reclaim as much of our bid money as possible in light of stuff like the "track was not essential" etc.

3. Embarrassing as many as possible in #1/ #2.

The recent aggro in N17 don't harm the NPD either (infrastructure etc - apprentice I may be to his Darth-ness, but instigating the riots is just too much for the superior Spurs Sith - surely ?? ) .

Maybe we should start some riots in east London so that West Ham can be given public funds to buy a new striker. What a ridiculous and dangerous precedent this has set.

Were there riots months ago as well then?

WHU and Spurs average attendances are not the same, and the only reason why they may be similar is because we share approximately the same stadium capacity.

Spurs sell out every time & have a +25k season ticket waiting list.....WHU have no waiting list and have to sell tickets on the radio...even for "local derbies" like Spurs last season!

If not for THFC bid, 90% of WHU fans do not want the OS. You don't need it.

G&S want it because if you have it the club has massive potential....not the sort of potential that G&S have the money to realise BUT the sort of potential that may attract a wealthy owner....G&S would sell WHU on the back of that potential and cash in big style. They are acting in their interests only.

1. Wasn't there a bit of trouble out that way during the spate of looting mobs roaming across London ??

2. Re precedents.

Indeed.

But to put it into perspective, you may have come across the words in recent days that 'when they rioted at Broadwater Farm, we got a new swimming pool' ...

Oh, The RDBD is truly ITK !!!

Those on Spurs 606 who have conversed with me, will know I often said that a JR could be made on the basis that Newham councils' scam may constitute "state aid" .

BBC news have just confirmed that the courts have agreed with this interpretation.

Possible state aid (illegal under EU law) , questions still about the integrity of seeking bid tendees etc.

Ooh er ...

Chicken :

BBC London resident Spurs hater (pronounced ) Adrian Warner was on TV a while ago trying to put a bad Spurs spin on today.

The basics were beyond him (ie the fact that a JR may give us our bid money back regardless of whether the 'Boris fund' results in something or not etc) .

Are you kidding about Warner being anti-Tottenham?! He came across as biased towards Tottenham in his reporting of the successful JR appeal!
He seemed to be a Spurs spokesperson talking from a Spurs perspective.
