Coutinho
He should be one of the first names on the team sheet. A far superior player to Lallana IMO. What the heck play both !
Pure football pôrn v Lallana

RAP
Only Gerrard and Suarez were ahead of Cout in assists (14) so it's a bit of a misleading stat you have provided there. As for the goals, well you don't get much of a lookin where Studge and Luis are banging them in left right and centre.
There seems to be a very weird dislike of Coutinho from some quarters of the supporters. If he left we would miss him big style.

The 14 is the assists for all competitions for Gerrard and Suarez for last season. Cout had eight, so although not outstanding it's still second best of the players we have left.
My point is by your own admission Cout is very talented, so I fail to see how he will progress by having playing time take away from him so a less talented player such as Lallana can get a game.

Guys like RAP love those bloody headless english chicken players with no skill who run for 90 minutes.
Players like Couthinho are the way forward not those english craft players with no quality but running for 90 minutes.

When did I say he shouldn't play?
I simply said he's a long way short of being the player some seem to think he is.
I haven't mentioned Lallana once on this thread.
----
I know what your mean but then on the other hand he's a lot closer to being a class Liverpool player than many of his team mates so as I said before he should be one of the first names on the team sheet not a go to player if Lallana isn't cutting it.

Basically Lallana is a 7-8 out of ten player most games. Coutinho has as many 6/10 as he does 9/10.
I think Coutinho is an outrageously talented footballer but he's not found a level of consistency for us yet. If and when he does then he'll be one of the first names on the team sheet. Until that point he'll have to earn his place by performing when given a chance - same as everyone else.
As good as Coutinho has been over the last 2 games, I think Lallana deserves his place in the side. Hopefully we can accommodate them both.
