What really grinds my gears

Is when our players constantly talk to the spurs website and say how up for a game they are and how they will improve blah blah blah and then get spanked and show no fight. Its just all talk no action with spurs. Now i know they have to do it, prob in their contract, but is still so annoying. I'd rather they don't say anything at all, forget 'connecting with the fans'.

Younes before newcastle match:

“Newcastle are coming here having just got their heads above water with an important win last weekend and now they will feel confident ahead of facing us, but we have to win and take the three points.
“That is the most important thing for us. We want to put on a good show for our fans."

Younes after newcastle match:

“We’ve no choice but to go forward now. When you get criticism, you have to face it.
“Every single one of us has to look forward and fight for the team and the Club and that’s what we are going to do."

And i have just seen a bunch of crap being spouted by ben davies and erik lamela about being up for tonights game. Seems all our players do is talk a load of crap.

Neville's comment says all you need to know about Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've seen a lot of comments from oppos agreeing with what he said, like it's some kind of news to them.
It isn't to us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Opposition managers must have such an easy team talk against us.

'Keep it tight, the fans will get frustrated, they will throw more people forward and we can hit them on the counter attack'.

If you stay in the match against us you will always have a chance and other teams know that.

Neville is your typical TV pundit, talks shiiite 24/7. He will be praising Spurs next week if they win, and having a go at the team they beat. I don`t listen to their craap. Spurs played badly second half agreed, but to call them weak is idiotic. Didn`t they win more away games than all but 1 or 2 teams in the prem last season. Weak teams don`t win all those away games.

Spurs are what they are, always capable of fecccking up at the drop of a hat, that does not make them weak.

Sandy sorry mate but Neville is 100% correct. I know it's not nice seeing a pundit run down our club like that but he is spot on like he usually is. We might not of been weak when years ago when you used to know Spurs but me as a 28 year old guy knows Spurs as being the biggest bottle jobs in Prem history and a mentally weak club with weak players.

What he's said is exactly how it is.

I agree but that's not true of all pundits. I mean, I don't hate Owen Hargreaves but he does talk a lot of sheit. Yeah it hurt to hear what he said after the game but it's true, we've got a bunch of bottlers at the minute.

We won a cup a few years ago when we had a shocking manager so it's not all doom and gloom, but I'm starting to think this whole ' director of football signing players for the club rather than manager' just doesn't suit us.

For a start we don't have money. Clubs like City can afford to buy 30m+ players and either ship them out or sack the manager and buy more if it doesn't work. Instead, we're stuck having to sell to buy, waiting for our assets to mature on and off the pitch. I like the fact we've become famous for developing world class talent.. not waiting for it.

Credit to Levy and Co for taking us this far but we seem to have reached the ceiling of where they can take us. The new stadium will increase revenues but that'll be swallowed up by wages and shareholder dividends..

Then it's the players attitudes.. 'club' signings that aren't particularly fancied by the fans or manager.. they're only ever going to be loyal for as long as it suits them.

I just want to see good football and players that look like they care about the shirt. Too much to ask maybe

neville telling us we are soft won't change anything. we already know we are soft.

i would say the club is soft from top to bottom, but we know levy is a tough, mean business man, so thats not true. i think its the players. bunch of pussiiies.

we have probably had about 5 players who have not been pusssies in the last 10 years.

and therein lies the rub

Oh Keane's book says: "Keane, recounted one particular pre-match team-talk which reflected Ferguson’s ability to read the mindset of his players. “I thought I knew what the group might need, that we didn’t need a big team talk,” said Keane. “It was Tottenham at home. I thought please don’t go on about Tottenham, we all know what Tottenham is about, they are nice and tidy but we’ll fucing do them. He came in and said: ‘Lads, it’s Tottenham’, and that was it. Brilliant.”

no doubt we went on to lose that game.

my guess would be 3-0. that was pretty much the default scoreline.
