It's been a while!

Hi all, been a while since I wrote anything on here!

This will be a short one, but I literally just wanted to highlight a few things I've noticed so far this season:

After a disappointing World Cup, I expected Diego Costa to be a failure in this league and so far he's proven me wrong and then some. Player of the season so far, with Alexis Sanchez and Graziano Pelle as runners up.

Southampton and Koeman - what a revelation! I'm so happy they're doing well, and has anyone else noticed how all of Southampton's ship jumpers (Lovren, Lambert, Lallana) have been utterly underwhelming so far? Southampton are the class act of the league, with West Ham (cannot believe I said that!) and Swansea (backstopped by our excellent ex Lukasz Fabianski) as honourable mentions.

Pardew - dead and buried a month ago, revived as of yesterday. I got ridiculed on Twitter last week for suggesting he managed to grind out results amid media onslaught, but three league wins in a row and level on points with Everton and United act as demonstrations for my case. The manager who should be worried now is Pochettino - Tottenham slipping, and notorious for their impatience with managers.

And finally, Sanchez himself. All I have to say is: where would we be without him? Some games, he drags us through, kicking and screaming and I can't help but feel, on bad days, that we have no business having a player like him. We're very fortunate and the team needs to raise themselves to meet his standards.
