According to the back page of the Courier Bilate is going to be out for weeks with the injury picked up at the weekend.
The boy is never off the treatment table.
This is obviously a blow given our lack of options and again illustrates the folly in letting Graham go out on loan without bringing anyone else in. This now means we're as reliant on Ciftci as ever. I'm not sure if it was the return of Bilate that prompted the improvement in his performance at the weekend but hopefully he'll be able to sustain that while Bilate is out. We're fecked otherwise.

Yeah it's frustrating. Hopefully the fact that Jackie's experiment with the starting eleven paid off at the weekend should give the whole team a boost though, if for no other reason than it shows that there can be competition for most positions. I think Çiftçi's goal from open play will have helped him to be honest, he looked far better after he had scored. Time will tell...

If he was given a 30 game ban, maybe. As long as he keeps up with the wee bans & his employer sticks by him, he'll never feel a need to change.
Bad news about Bilate. I wonder if Ola is worth another go in the senior squad. From what I've heard he has been doing a good job in the U-20s. Could always stick Connolly up front too. At least it'd encourage the team to pass to his feet.

Haven't seen him enough to judge, but if he can play there he could be an option. Would miss Çiftçi's bullying of defenders, but he hasn't been doing that recently so maybe no great loss.
