Failure of leadership......

...on and off the pitch. As this isn't the first time Arsenal have capitulated, one has to conclude that there is a cultural problem with Arsene Wenger's teams in terms of leadership, on and off the pitch.

No one to organise the team on the pitch. And goodness knows what is in the mind of Arsene Wenger, off it. In the end, it's all very well for Wenger to be angry - aren't we all - but what is it with Wenger's teams?

Every team needs leaders. Where are Arsenal's? Yesterday was a shocking result, given the circumstances. Expert in failure? Yup. Sounds about right to me at this moment in time.

Leadership/direction – would agree but AW seems to prefer the more socialist ideal rather than one captain barking orders (a’la Adams).

We don't have a real captain.

We need a player who steps up and takes command when chit is going down.

Our team is full of pansies without a natural born leader.

You look at Chelsea and see warriors all over the pitch - players that thrive on and relish a real battle. From Terry to the likes of Ivanovic and Matic and Ramires and Costa - even the likes of Willian, Oscar and Schurrle run themselves through brickwalls when needed. Compare that to shrinking violets like Mert, Monreal, Arteta, Santi, Giroud, Ozil, Podolski etc, and you can see we have a real problem. Spineless players with little character, leadership and resilience.

Probably, but AW is always millimetres from producing a fantastic team. Good progress has been made (I wouldn't knock any of the summer transfers) and hopefully we will have two more in January (DM and a DC). We don't need more and once we have them we WILL be a force. It's easy to slag Arsene but I'd ask what would all those who do actually change - other than would have bought the above? Those that were saying Klopp is the man in recent months - look at Dortmund now - 2nd from bottom in the Bundersliga.
