Poch already a dead man walking

Before everyone starts crying and screaming, I am not saying MP *should* be sacked. I am just stating he will be and now it's a matter of when not if.

Levy has screwed up another managerial appointment for the umpteenth time. Anyone who still thinks Pochettino is a particularly good manager hasn't been paying attention. Theoretically these players should have improved on last season because they have now had a full season to gel and adjust to the Premiership. We are now 11 games into the season and objectively speaking, the statistics speak for themselves;

After 11 games Pochettino has taken 14 points.

At this stage last season, after 11 games the sacked AVB had taken 20 points.

After his first 11 games, the apparently inept Sherwood had taken 21 points.

But MP did a top job with Southampton you say? Well not really either.

Despite losing their best players, Koeman has so far taken 25 points from 11 games, 3 more than MP at this stage last season.

If MP is sacked, which he will be, we need a tough, pragmatic manager who knows how to get PL results. We also need one with a proven track record on coaching teams to be effective at attacking and defending set pieces.

We do not need another drawing board theorist trying to play 'progressive' continental systems which are completely unsuited to the players. We also need to abolish the Director of Football system and let the manager alone identify targets which he asks the Chairman to try to sign. No more Fazios, Stamboulis or Capoues. From now on we sign players who are an obvious improvement on what we already have in the first 11. Baldini's scatter gun approach has left our squad far too big and I suspect we are paying a lot in wages for players who will never get a game.

Fans also need to realize it could be years before we see the likes of the free flowing footballing we saw under Rednapp as we simply no longer have the players for this kind of football.

Step forward Tony Pulis. Who will bring in Shawcross in January if Levy doesn't blatently try to mug Stoke off and offend them with a 50p opening bid. Shawcross can become captain immediately. He has more leadership and defensive qualities then the rest of our muppets we have. I think we would immediately improve and Pulis would toughen these mugs up. Also, Arsenal fans hate Pulis because he knows how to destroy their tika taka.

It would be a very pleasant change of our fortunes if we were to be utterly sheite in the league but win the Europa to take us to the CL next season and we can build from there!
