In an attempt to try and forget about Spurs...
I spent an unhealthy amount of time playing footy games as a kid
Kick Off 2, Sensible Soccer, Actua Soccer, Championship Manager... I loved them all.
Then I played ISS Pro Evolution Soccer 2 on the PS1 at about the time I discovered beer, and it set a new level for football games. Probably my favourite ever game, so many nights playing this with mates getting a bit boozy on three bottles of Fosters Ice. The shots you could hit with Batistuta, the one-twos, the through balls, the fact that every game was different.
And I loved all of the following Pro Evolution games, until a few years ago, when they just went a bit rubbish (PES13 is the only decentish one). Each year was a new disappointment. I tried FIFA, and I wanted to like it, but couldn't. Everything is too clinical, scoring the same goals over and over. There is no unpredictability, no fun. I feel a bit sorry for people who have only ever played FIFA. It's ok, but no more.
But this week PES2015 is out. I've played the demo, it's brilliant again. Makes you want to play just one more game over and over. At 31, I almost thought my football game days were over, but this has reminded me why a couple of mates and a good session on PES is a brilliant Friday night (I do have a life, don't judge me).
I'm even going to buy a PS4 for it this week (and FarCry 4).
So anyone else share the Pro Evolution Love? Anyone else as excited as I am? Any FIFA fans want to tell me I'm wrong?

Used to be able to dive on FIFA 99 I think, which they've now brought back. I was an expert at diving when I was through on goal just to get the defender sent off!

Yeah they have! I heard someone say it a few weeks ago but I thought it was a lie.... I've not actually tried IT myself yet.

You're never too old for it mate. I thought that being 30 I should start growing out of it..... Until my 40 year old colleague was bought a PS4 by his wife!!

Great demo. Surprisingly better reviews. Might be the year PES gets the title back
