Jimmy Floyd is our new manager and I wish him well in his new job.
I hope all fans will get behind him and give him a warm welcome.

I hope that if / when he is named manager he registers as a player.

I had a phone call last week telling me that he was our man in charge but I didn't say anything on here.
Today I was told from the same person that it was a cert he had the job and it was up to Ben when he made it official.
I welcome the man he will add a touch of class to the setup of our club and hopefully show us how to score goals.

Looking like Jimmy with David Oldfield as assistant if we can sort out compensation with M K Dons.
He's their acadamey coach after working as youth development officer at West Brom.
Obviously he wants him on board.
Exciting times ahead I hope.

Told last week? What, you mean before interviews had finished and before a shortlist had even been drawn up.
Yeah, alright mate.

Never question me Brewer 1,read and learn from us guys on here and perhaps you will be as good as us at finding things out about our football club instead of snearing at threaders comments.

Quite correct emnez. Some of us do have close connections with the club and by not betraying people who provide us with this information by shouting it from the rooftops at the first chance we have we gain more trust from them. You have a lot to learn Brewer1 and as I have said before this is not a silly kids forum where the sole aim is to wind people up.
On a side note Ben was very happy this morning when I saw him he seemed excited by the decisions he had made. Three very interesting people who didnt get an interview were an Italian, an ex national team manager and a Liverpudlian.

The people I have spoken to fall in to 2 camps. Those who think it is a great appointment and those who think it is a dreadful one.
I am sure it is a great appointment and I have said the following to the doubters. He is someone who;
- Has played at the highest club level.
- Is a former international.
- Will have so many contacts in the game.
- Will attract players to the club by being a legend.
- Will put the club on the map.
- Will generate media interest.
- Can coach our strikers.
- Will gain instant respect from our players.
- Has managed and coached at a decent level.
- Will add a few on the attendance (initially).
You couldn't cite many of those arguments had it been Buckle, Laws or Boothroyd - using just 3 of the names kicking about.
I dare say that most league 2 managers are happy where they are. JFH undoubtedly wants to manage at a higher level and for him this is where he starts. If he leaves us in League 1 and then gets poached by a Championship club that will be a good result for us.
