Just as it looks like he's calmed down and the interviewer has regained control..........
Did anyone see this Tyson interview?

Regardless of my personal beliefs about Robin Givens and the conviction, i would really strongly suggest you all read his autobiography, one of the most eye opening books i ever read. the guy is an animal, he was bought up to be feral, Cas, his mentor used him for his own means. gave him hope a life and then died, Mike was manipulated time and time again. you can take the boy out of the ghetto but cant take the ghetto out of the boy.
Mike Tyson regardless of the man he is, will be known by future generations as the greatest heavy weight boxer of all time

Ali surely? Tyson had 5 years of utterly brutal domination, then not much. Ali lost his peak years because of Vietnam and still came back to beat some of the best ever.
Totally agree with you on Tyson's upbringing. His trainer/handler, not Cus, youngish NY-Irish guy pulled a gun on him when he was about 15 because he was running around molesting young rich girls in the Catskills? He was like a caged animal.
It's just what I've picked up from various documentaries and articles but he comes across exactly the way you described. Which book would you recommend Speedo because I'm sure there are dozens?
Also David Speedie, I haven't had a chance to thank you for your advice about teaching abroad. You gave me a nice little confidence boost and a bit of a kick up the arsenal to get things organised
I'm going to Taiwan in January because of my mate. Guaranteed work, place to stay when I get off the plane after no snout for however many hours etc
If it's crap there (it looks a bit of a concrete jungle from what I've seen) at least I'll be out of this poxy country and have lots of other options nearby.
Thanks again mate. It's lovely watching our Blues this season isn't it? 2015 could be a great year

I only recognised Robin Givens from fresh Prince of bel air. You could tell just by looking at her that she was a manipulative woman. Hot as fk though

Talking of Fresh Prince....................
What happened to Will's Fiancee? They almost got married in Vegas/Reno then she was written out with no explanation as though she never existed.

I personally think a "Peak Lewis" would box clever against a "Peak Tyson" and win.

Cus D'amato, was his trainer and mentor, yes he was spotted by an American Irish boxer, but he introduced him to Cus, Cus then effectively (not legally) adopted him and made him the greatest of all time (i know its an objective opinion)
Tyso was just so powerful and had so much venom. he was handled so badly after Cus died, it ruined him. anyways my opinion.
Good luck in Taiwan, as I say, it was not fun for me but that's because i'd spent the previous 2 years in brazil and Thailand. (are you working for Shane schools by any chance) do you know where you are going to be living the south if far better than the north (just like London/England) I was in Hsinchu - think communist Russia without the charm. but horses for courses i guess. Good luck fella, wherever you end up. I'll try and catch you on the haven thread and give you more info if you want any.

Deffo exploited. powerful boxer don't know if he had enough to do Ali as the latter was quick in thought and feet and hands. Frazier was nearest thing to Tyson in Ali's day. Would just give it to Ali
