No longer considered rivals?

Abe to Spurs ,it would not have happened 2 seasons ago

Mancini must believe even with Abe (sometimes superb, sometimes moody and crap) City are ahead of Spurs.

THUNDERKISS-

i've wondered this for a while now, city really could manipulate things using the free transfer system.....

like you say, adeybayour could score the winner/vital goal vs,manure(next time )chavs, and others and can't play against you guy's....

Thunderkiss - I was only stating an example of what COULD be done, i expect these new rules to make no difference what so ever, teams will find a way round out and FIFA dont have the balls to take action!

UEFA have already said this can't happen as any income has to be seen as fair value.

hmmm like the 400 million deal for "naming rights" of their stadium, Ethiad Airways is ultimately owned by the same mob who are bankrolling City. It stinks but nothing will be done by UEFA.

Yeah they'll find a way round it but just saying that if anyone sells anything for 100 million it'll be looked into, as the city stadium naming deal is. It's just a way to keep the big name clubs at the top table.

But they've already been very clever about that money, the naming rights is for the stadium, the shirt sponsorship and the soon to be made Etihad resort and spa or whatever it's called. Because nobody else has anything like what they're planning it's hard to say it's not fair value for what they're sponsoring

Thats the problem I guess, this kind of backing is unprecedented, commercially this is in a different statosphere even to the likes of what Barca, Real and Utd can generate...

United getting their training kit sponsored for 40 million?? I'd think this should come under some scrutiny, that's more than most teams main shirt deals! But way to turn a blind eye to that people!

Spurs will compete so will arsenal Liverpool, nothing is set in stone because we have spent money, man u an Chelsea are still the teams to beat!

I thought they may look into the dhl deal too, if they carry on the shirt might look like a formula one car
